After our first successful season in 2012, our colony has continued to grow! This BLOG is the history of our Purple Martin Journey at Meadow Wood Elementary!
Saw 14-17 or more martins around the baseball fields behind the school!!! It was hard to count because there were so many and they were moving around so much over the fields, over the track, & on and off the wires. I'm sure the man walking the track thinks I'm a crazy lady that talks to birds. I wonder if there's a colony nearby and we're getting their over flow?
ReplyDeleteGray was wondering about putting up the baffle and sand? He said the sand keeps snakes away.
Elise, Jack would love to come with you. He loves to look at this blog, so call us & let us know what time you plan to go Thursday & we'll try to meet you up there!
